A Reasonable Way to Extend Battery Life

Charging within a moderate range rather than consistently running from empty to full, avoiding leaving the phone on a charger overnight every single night when avoidable, and keeping the device out of direct heat during charging are the habits with the most consistent support in battery research. None of these need to be followed obsessively — the difference between a carefully managed charging routine and a casual one is measured in a modest amount of longevity, not a dramatic one.
